What’s happening this weekend? Safiyyah has the answers

It’s the weekend and you have lots of options to unwind from the long work week.  Safiyyah has the fix whether you want family fun or special time with your partner. There are activities are in Belmopan, Hopkins and all over the country.

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is what’s Happening Belize.

Tonight two Belize city hot spots will be battling it out for your attendance. The first party spot you can check out is the Palm Island. Tonight French Kiss inside Palm Island will be doing things Old School Style. This throw back night will have Tagg International and Belizean movements behind the music wheel. There will be Smart Giveaways as well as half off on all local drinks. Ladies enter free before 11:30. So check it out.

If that doesn’t capture your interest then you can head over to Club Next where Stress free Fridays will be having and after party for ‘Balling for Life’. This party will not only be going down for your enjoyment but also as a fundraiser for Baby Tarell and Baby Daniel. They will be doing huge balloon drops throughout the night.

If you out west tonight then you can check out the Ladies Night happening inside the Twilight Lounge. The music will be provided by Upgrade entertainment.

And if you stay out west then you can head over the Governor general’s field in Belmopan. Go and check out Belmopan Day. This will all be happening on the Governor General’s Field. There will be live performances by the Youth Connection Band from Orange Walk. Music will be provided by Cloud Nine Sounds and Presidential sounds.  There will even be dance performances from dance groups from all over the country. And in celebration of the 40th Birthday of Belmopan there will be fireworks

One of the after parties you can check out is taking place in inside Prestige in Belmopan. This is going to be an all white affair. Cloud nine and Stone Jam Sound will be providing the music so you can dance the night away. There will be Smart giveaways all night.

Another Party jumping off after the Belmopan festivities is the Twilight lounge where they will be having Guest Djs Tagg international and Belizean Movements.

Here in the city you can check out another fundraiser for the Mahogany Masqueraders. This time they will be having a fashion show followed by a dance.  This will all be going down on 8400 Mckay Avenue. All the proceeds will be going towards the carnival group’s preparation for the Road March.

Also in the Spirit of carnival, Club next will be having Soca Madness on Saturday night. They are calling out all carnival groups to be a part of the Carnival dancing Competition to win up to $1000. Encore sound, dymatics sounds and DJ Dynasty will be spinning the tunes.

In Placencia on Saturday night there will be a party going down inside Club Eclipse. This party titled ‘Picante’ will feature the music of Federation 501 sound and the Alliance Crew. So check it out.

And in celebration of Hopkins day there will be a party inside the Palmento Grove. This party will have performances by New Rebels, Reckless and others. There will be lots of giveaways including a gift basket to the 69th Lady to enter the spot.
