Lake Independence woman attacked in home
Turning to a constant in the newscast; violence. There was another home invasion early this morning in Belize City. A man reportedly entered the home of a fifty-two year old woman and viciously assaulted her. The woman was beaten on the head and face with a piece of wood and then she was sexually assaulted. She is hospitalized, recovering from two broken arms. The attack happened inside a small plywood structure in the Lake Independence area sometime after three this morning, and her attacker was reportedly someone she knew. A man who later assisted her to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital told us how he found her.
