One more charged in Willows Bank kidnapping
The long arm of the law has caught up with Sherwin Roca. The eighteen year old is alleged to have participated in the kidnapping and robbery ofFausto Lopez and Mary Romero. When Roca appeared in court this morning, he was charged with two counts each of Kidnapping and Robbery, and three counts of Aggravated Assault, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Harm. One of the aggravated assault counts was not related to the kidnapping/robbery, but rather to a July fourth incident in which Roca allegedly pointed a firearm at Jerry Banner. Because of the nature of the offence, Roca was not granted bail and was remanded into custody until November sixth. On Tuesday, Pedro Troches was also charged in connection with the same incident. The victims reported that around eight-fifteen on September thirtieth, they were driving from Willow’s Bank when they encountered a barbwire across the road. After stopping the vehicle and getting out, Lopez and Romero said they were both robbed and kidnapped.
