Cops recover some items stolen from Social Security in Corozal
Cops in the north have recovered some of the items that were stolen during a burglary at the Belize Social Security Board office in Corozal Town on August twenty-seventh. The burglar bar and glass doors at the main entrance were forced open as the thieves made their way into the building and took off with a safe containing four hundred and thirteen dollars in cash, a digital camera, a box of assessment books as well as several purchase order, receipt and computerized cheque books. Corozal police investigations led them to a cane field on the outskirts of San Andres village where they found the safe, which was damaged and pried open. Some of the stolen items were recovered, but not the cash and camera.
