Instrument of Love launches first CD and video

Story PictureThey do not come with the hype of other bands but they intend to join the chorus to end violence. Instrument of Love is a Belize City based group of four young Belizeans who believe that they can contribute in a positive way and they intend to use their talent to spread a message with a positive tone. Their genre of music is diverse with reggae, dancehall and R&B tracks such as Save Belize, Tragedy, My Dreams and Calling Me. The group today released their first CD, Too Hot to Handle and its first music video named Babylon, which they shared with us. The group says that those youths falling from the way side need to put down the guns and pick up a mike.

Jermaine Daly, Rap/Hip Hop Singer, Instruments of Love
“We came together in the hood that all of us were growing up. Eventually, everybody was doing their own thing. I was a freestyle rap artist in the hood and I meet these guys singing in church you know, doing their choir thing. We came together with one concept that we’re pushing this music to the world.”

Luke Banner, Reggae Soul Singer, Instruments of Love
“The music basically is to promote love and decrease violence, you know. Most of the ghetto youths dem pan the streets want to be heard right.”

Gaafar Rodriguez, R&B/Soul Singer, Instruments of Love
“We’re looking at the issues such as violence, domestic abuse, child abuse. We have the situation with the young girls getting raped, we have the situation with kids going missing, we have abuse of authority in the country of Belize and we have issues with a lot of violence, gang violence, drugs, a lot of these issues that are affecting the country. These are the issues that Instruments of Love are touching on. All of this is independent and we’re just trying to get this done. Without you, Belize, we can’t do this. Thank Channel Five for giving us this opportunity to speak you. ‘Instruments of Love’ is here—and we’re not going anywhere—to represent Belize and take it to the world and beyond.”

You can Contact ‘Instrument of Love’, through G-Money Records at 601-2159 or log on to www.myspace.com/instrumentoflovebz to view the video. The album, Too Hot to Handle will be available at music stores countrywide on October fourteenth.
