B.D.F. soldier still held in grenade scare case
Up to news time police had still brought no charges against the Belize Defence Force private in custody for the carnival day grenade scare on Princess Margaret Drive. And when we last checked, Police Press officer Clement Palacio says that if charges were to be brought against the soldier, it is not clear if they would be placed by the police department or if the soldier will face a tribunal of the B.D.F. So while the soldier may face charges for the release of the grenade, nineteen year old Richard Flores has already been charged with Attempted Murder and other offences for hurling the grenade at spectators.
