Man gets caught with firearm in underwear

Thirty-six year old Asher Brown, also known as Larry Sutherland, was charged today with Keeping a Firearm and Ammunition without a License. Following a naked search at the Queen Street Police Station, Brown was found in possession of a point twenty-five pistol with five rounds of ammunition. Just after midnight this morning, police received reports that shots were being fired in the area of Neal’s Pen Road. Police intercepted a van with three persons, including Brown, who appeared suspicious. When he was taken to the downtown lockup, stripped, and searched, a pistol was found hidden in Brown’s underwear. This afternoon, Brown appeared in Magistrates’ Court, was charged and remanded to prison until October twenty-fourth.
