Fisherman charged for unlicensed ammunition
Nineteen year old fisherman, Jamie Young of Turneffe Island, has been remanded to custody for Keeping Ammunition Without a Gun License. Young appeared in court today after police found him with fifty-nine rounds of nine millimeter ammunition. Young, represented by attorneys Dickie Bradley and David Moralez, told the court that the bullets belonged to his father, David Young, the holder of a licensed nine millimeter pistol. He said it was his father who sent him to fetch the bullets. Police report that on Tuesday morning while on mobile patrol on Newtown Barracks they saw a man riding a bicycle with a sack in his left hand. The police stopped the man, searched him and found a green and white box that contained fifty rounds and a magazine with nine rounds.
