Two charged for shooting of Phillip Lightburn
There have been arrests in the shooting of thirty-nine year old Phillip Lightburn. Today nineteen year old Abel Arana and a seventeen year old minor were jointly charged with the attempted murder of Lightburn when they appeared today in Magistrates’ Court. They were additionally charged with Dangerous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm. Bail was not offered and Arana and his underage accomplice have been remanded to prison until October seventh. Last Saturday night Lightburn was at the corner of Cemetery Road and Fuller’s alley when he was approached by the two men, one of whom fired three shots and hit him in his abdomen and calves while he was trying to run away. Lightburn is in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
