Home invasion at Gales Point; over $10,000 lost

Another home invasion has been reported; this time in Gales Point. Thirty-five year old Francisco Perez told police that he was at home on Sunday night when just before midnight someone knocked on his door. Perez says that upon opening it, three masked men wearing dark clothing forced their way inside. A struggle ensued during which Perez was hit above the right eye and on the shoulder with a handgun. He says he managed to escape to his brother’s house about fifty yards away, but when they returned a while later noticed that his Yamaha outboard motor was missing along with a cell phone, and a hundred dollars in cash. The items are collectively valued at ten thousand, two hundred and fifty dollars.
