Jealousy prompts stabbing incident

Things got rough between two waitresses when one of them produced a knife and stabbed the other several times. Jealousy is said to be at the heart of the matter because the attacker believed her lover was having an affair with another waitress. The victim, Sadijah Castillo, told police that she was heading home on Jaguar Avenue off Faber’s Road from her work at Smokey Mermaid Restaurant after ten-thirty last night when she was attacked. Castillo said she was only two houses away from home when a black car pulled up and her attacker, whom she recognised as the other waitress, Elisa Chan, who works at Celebrity Restaurant got out. Chan reportedly stormed at Castillo and stabbed her five times in the right side, back and both hands. Police say that Chan, whose common-law husband works with Castillo, had for some time been in a jealous rage over an alleged romantic relationship between the two. Police are now looking for Chan and Castillo is in stable condition at the K.H.M.H.
