Dynamiq Auto Club steps up with school supplies

Story PictureYesterday, the WISH foundation handed out school supplies and today the spirit of giving extended to another generous donor organization. The donations aren’t coming from the typical NGO but from a group that is normally cruising the highways of the country. This evening at the Karl H. Menzies parking lot, the members of the Dynamiq Auto Club were handing out packages containing water bottles, schoolbags, books and other basic supplies to children from 5 different primary schools in Belize City. News Five, spoke with President, Rohn Paul Lecky who told us that they are not just about cars.

Rhon Paul Lecky, President, Dynamiq Auto Club
“We do basically everything from car detailing up to car modifications. It’s all about the love of vehicles with us. We are a bunch of youngsters who are into doing something good instead of the usual gangs and violence and drinking and stuff like that. We are more into the modification of our vehicles, putting our money into something positive instead of something bad. We are doing a back to school schoolbag drive/giveaway. We are trying to support students in all ages. We know the finances are hard for parents nowadays and we are trying to help and give back to the community and saying that education is something positive, it’s something good.”

“How were the recipients chosen to receive such a package from the Dynamic Auto Club?”

Rhon Paul Lecky
“Well, at first it was kind of a tricky process. We got in contact with several schools—we spoke to the principals. We ask the principals to give us a list of five students who they feel deserve and need an extra boost for the upcoming school year.”

A total of twenty-five students ranging from infant two to standard six received packages which Lecky said is the first of the Club’s voluntary projects. The club intends to do more with the assistance they are receiving from major sponsors such as Atlantic Insurance and Karl H. Menzies.
