Goldson, Esquivel proposed for national honours
The annual Tribute to Belizean Patriots will be held on Thursday, September eighteenth. Two of the persons proposed for honours on that night are Manuel Esquivel and Phillip Goldson. The former prime minister and U.D.P. party leader will be bestowed with the Order of Belize, while the National Hero award will be given to Goldson. In 2001 Goldson received the Order of Belize. The veteran politician and activist died in October of that year. The names of Belizeans for national honours are to be released this week.
