Bryce Simpson teams up with Kashif to do big things

Story PictureIt’s every musician’s dream to make it big … and tonight one Belizean group has been given that opportunity. While performing at a charity concert in California several weeks ago, the group Bryce Simpson caught the eye of Kashif, an American songwriter and producer who has agreed to work with them on an album. Kendoyll Simpson, Horace Bryce, and Tiffany Simpson have been involved in music together since they were kids and for them it’s a dream come true to be working with a bona fide producer. But Kashif, who has worked with the likes of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carrey, says he is also interested in seeing what the jewel has to offer. We caught up with the producer and the group this morning at the City Hall.

“Finally, we thank the lord that our talent has been recognised by someone who has made it in the music industry already and we are really grateful for that.”

Horace Bryce, Bryce Simpson
“What we are looking forward to is to spread more positive music and to reach the youths of this country especially because we all know the crime rate in Belize is very high and if you notice there are a lot of young people dying and they are dying by guns and beef and drugs. So we just want to spread positive music and let the youths know that they don’t have to use violence to solve any problems you know.”

Kashif, Music Producer
“These are some very talented people, so I wanted to come and see the talent in Belize. I wanted to come and meet the government and meet the people of Belize and see what the talent was like here and if I could offer my skills and offer my resources as a songwriter and producer to help the Belizean government, the Belizean citizens to develop their talents.”

Bryce Simpson will begin recording their album shortly. It is being done in collaboration with Consumertime Publishing.
