Paraplegic busted with crack cocaine
Less than two months after a Belize City paraplegic was busted with crack cocaine, today he was back in court for the same offence. This morning fifty-five year old Barrington William Carr pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking in Magistrates’ Court number three. He was offered bail of three thousand dollars and ordered to reappear in court on October fifteenth. On July fifteenth police searched Carr’s home on Amara Avenue and discovered thirteen point three grams of suspected crack cocaine on a table. On Saturday, authorities returned to Carr’s residence with a search warrant to look for drugs and firearm and this time found another two point one grams of the drug. Carr is no stranger to the courts, having served three and a half years in prison for a drug trafficking conviction.
