Gas attendants detained in $30,000 robbery
San Ignacio police have more than just a murder to solve. That’s because a gas station in that municipality was also targeted by thieves. According to the manager of C.P. Gas Station on Carillo Puerto Avenue in Santa Elena, thirty-six year old Nolberto Rancharan, he locked up the station around ten-thirty on Sunday night and left the service station. But he got a rude awakening when he returned to work around six on Monday morning and discovered that robbers had gained entry into the building and helped themselves to an assortment of jewelry worth around thirty thousand dollars, which were in a safe. But while they have not yet charged anyone, police have detained three suspects who are all gas attendants, along with a taxi driver of Santa Elena.
