Willie Aguirre murdered in Cayo District
The number of murder victims continues to grow. And police today confirm foul play in the death of a man from San Ignacio but have no leads to this latest murder. The body of the victim, twenty-five year old Willie Aguirre, was discovered face down about a hundred yards from the streets in some bushes on a farm named Enrique Marroquin’s located on the San Antonio Road. Aguirre was a labourer of Church Street and was not employed on the farm. He was reported missing last week Thursday by a family member, although he reportedly left home on the fourteenth August saying he was going to a football game. A post mortem conducted on Aguirre’s body this afternoon certified that he died from gunshot wounds to the head. Police are yet to determine the motive for the murder but say Aguirre has been arrested before for several burglaries in San Ignacio and had a case pending at the San Ignacio Court.
And in an update to a story in our newscast last night, police confirm that that Pedro Jus Junior of Valley of Peace was murdered. Kus’ body was found near the water reservoir in the village on Saturday, August twenty-third.
