Businessman and employees busted for sale of illegal lottery

And in other court news, a businessman and three of his female employees were charged today with the sale of illegal lottery. The owner of Garden Shop on Freetown Road, Dennis Chow, and his employees Jin Jian Zhan, Wei Ling Huang and Zhen Deng appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning where they faced the charges following a sting operation conducted by police yesterday. The four are accused of selling illegal lottery to Special Constable Winder Ellington, Corporal Delbert Benguche, and Detective Javier Hernandez. All four pleaded not guilty to the charge and Zhan, who went to court number two, was released on bail of one thousand dollars while the others, who appeared in court number four, had to pay up five thousand dollars in bail.
