Mennonite killed at Corozal Free Zone
News Five has confirmed that at least one man is dead following a shooting at the Commercial Free Zone in Corozal. The incident occurred this afternoon inside the compounds of the Free Zone. The victim, forty one year old Wilhelm Braun, was reportedly shot nine times in the chest, hands, feet and behind the ear. His attackers, suspected to be two Mexicans, arrived at the Free Zone armed with a machine gun and a handgun and opened fire on Braun. Braun was rebuilding the S.P. 2000 Plaza, owned by Jack Punjabi which was gutted by fire late last year. Braun was a resident of Blue Creek in Orange Walk. Police are looking for the two suspects.
