More schools to re-open after the hurricane

Hurricane Richard interrupted the flow of classes in the Belize and Stann Creek Districts since early this week. This Thursday, students are expected back in the classrooms at: Bethel Primary, Wesley Upper, Our Lady of the Way-Ladyville, St. Joseph, St Martin, Ebenezer Methodist, James Garbutt SDA, Gwen Lizarraga, Muslim Community, Excelsior, St. John Vianney, St. Ignatius, Grace Primary, Queen Street Baptist, Calvary Temple, Nazarene Buttonwood Bay, Pallotti High, Calvary Temple, Nazarene High, Sadie Vernon, Maud Williams, Ephesus SDA, Trinity Methodist, Friends Boys School, Living Hope, St. Luke Methodist, Salvation Army and All Saints. We also note that the management of St John’s Junior College has advised that classes will also resume Thursday. On Friday, the school doors reopen at Wesley College, St. Catherine Academy,St. John’s High School and Holy Redeemer. And lastly on Monday:  St. Mary’s, St. John’s Anglican and Queen Square, Wesley Lower School, St Agnes Anglican, and Hattieville Government School.  In the south, the situation is as follows: on Thursday students go back to Solid Rock Academy, Christ The King Anglican Classes for Standards three to six only, Hope Creek Methodist, Light of the Valley, St. Augustine, Holy Angels and St. Matthews.
