Two injured in separate weekend shootings
And there is more bad news. In weekend shootings, forty-three year old Adrian Robinson was admitted at the K.H.M.H. trauma room on Sunday night after he was shot six times. Police say an initial investigation shows that Robinson was shot when he went outside his Flamboyant Street home to check who was calling out for him and someone from behind the house began firing shots. Unfortunately for Robinson, he was shot twice in the center of his back and once on each shoulder, the neck and the right collar bone. He was admitted at the hospital in a critical state, but has improved to a stable condition.
Around one o’clock on Saturday morning, an unfortunate young woman was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Twenty-three year old Doreen Mejia was shot above the right knee while she was standing in front of Beauty Point Store on Church Street. Mejia says that she saw a group of young men in front of the nearby Beauty Plaza and then heard gun shots coming from their direction, one of them hit her on right leg.
