Inmate on murder charge in drug trafficking trouble
An inmate at the Hattieville Prison is in more trouble tonight after a routine search of his cell unearthed a stash of weed. Police report that the search on Tuesday night inside the cell of eighteen year old Clarence Hemmans yielded two black plastic bags containing about quarter pound of marijuana. Hemmans has been charged with drug trafficking but he is awaiting trial for the murder of Kevin Arnold who was shot three times in May 2007.
In other prison news, a meeting held last Friday among Kolbe Board members approved Meliton Auil Jr.’s appointment as Acting Chief Executive Officer of Hattieville Prison. That appointment will run for two months before an assessment of his performance is conducted for a permanent appointment.
