Jerry Bush pleads guilty to drug possession, denies burglary
It was a terrorizing moment for forty-five year old Herman Reyes when early this morning, a man entered his premises on West Canal, inflicted three cuts on him, including one to his throat and stole his money and cell phone. Bleeding and in terror, Reyes escaped from his assailant by running through the corridor of his house and jumping over his back verandah. A police mobile on patrol was directed to investigate the incident and upon its arrival at the corner of King Street and West Canal, the police detected a man acting suspiciously. A search of the man resulted in the discovery of nine point eight grams of cannabis in a black plastic bag which he disposed of. The man, who was later identified as Jerry Bush, was escorted to Queen Street Police Station and today he appeared in Court and was charged with Aggravated Burglary and Possession of a Controlled Drug. Bush pleaded guilty to the charge of possession and was fined six hundred dollars and given until August twenty-fifth to pay. For the charge of Aggravated Burglary, Bush was denied bail and remanded into custody until September eighth.
