3 brothers and a friend busted with gun and ammunition
Three siblings and a minor were arraigned this afternoon in Magistrate’s Court for possession of a homemade shotgun and unlicensed ammunition. Twenty-two year old Charles Neal, eighteen year old Shane Young and their younger brother, a sixteen year old student of Excelsior High School, were jointly charged along with a primary school student following a search conducted at a house in Pinks Alley on Wednesday morning. The search yielded an assortment of computer equipment believed to be stolen. They include a CPUs, flat screen monitors and wireless modems. Belize City Police also discovered a crudely constructed shotgun of an unknown caliber and two nine millimeter bullets. In court the young men who were unrepresented were exempted from the charge of handling stolen goods because an investigation into the origin of the items remains ongoing. They however, pleaded not guilty to the previous charges. Due to the nature of the offences both adults were denied bail and remanded to the Central Prison in Hattieville while the minors were remanded to the Belize Youth Hostel until their next court appearance on December thirtieth.
