Kolbe C.E.O. resigns
There is a changing of the guard at the Belize Central Prison in Hattieville. Kolbe Foundation, which has been administering the prison, announced today that Chief Executive Officer, Marlon Skeen, has resigned his post to pursue other interests. In bidding farewell to Skeen, Kolbe recalled Skeen’s years of service and his positive influence on the staff and prisoners. While from time to time Kolbe has been rapped for cracks in the prison system, by and large under Skeen’s watch, it is safe to say that there has been an improvement in the facilities especially in regards to rehabilitation programmes for the inmates. His replacement is yet to be named.
