Fifty-six year old woman raped in Dangriga
A case of rape has been brought to Dangriga police, which purportedly happened over the weekend. It involves a fifty-six year old woman, who reported to the police that at about ten o’clock on Saturday morning she was on Melinda Road heading to her house in the Long Bank area, she was approached by a man sporting short dread locks and dressed in a red T-shirt and grey pants. The woman, a Salvadoran domestic, claims that the man placed a knife on her neck and forced her into the nearby bushes. She fought back but was overpowered by her assailant who wounded her on her left thumb and then raped her. Police are now looking for the culprit.
