Needy families get goodies from police

Story PictureThis afternoon the Police Department visited three homes in the Belize City. But instead of arresting someone or conducting a search, they went bearing gifts. According to Inspector Suzette Anderson, the donations were in celebration of Police Week.

Insp. Suzette Anderson, Police Department
“We decided to come together and compile a package of food hamper, school supplies, stove, gas tank and some clothing items for some members of the community who we know are in need of those stuff. It is a program which was actually planned by the community policing officers and through their program we have been able to identify these persons. We trust and hope that they will be able to make good use of the stuff that we have given to them.”
