Husband charged for murder of wife

There are no arrests as yet in the murder of Dona and Michael Hill, but police have recovered the couple’s stolen Toyota Hilux. The pick-up was discovered about a mile off the Cristo Rey Road in Santa Elena. Sometime between Saturday night and Sunday, the Hills were attacked at their home in Cristo Rey Village and killed. Their bodies were recovered from the banks of the Macal River about two hundred yards from their home. Both had been shot in the head.

While police in San Ignacio continue to look for leads, their counterparts in Punta Gorda already have their man for a weekend death. On Saturday, authorities detained forty-two year old Jorge Pinzon for the shooting death of his girlfriend, Soila Ramclam, but tonight Pinzon is remanded to Hattieville prison, charged with Murder. Pinzon claimed that he was cleaning his gun when it went off hitting Ramclam, who was seated opposite him, in the chest. But the results of a post-mortem examination revealed that the Indianville resident bled to death from a close range gunshot to the chest. As a result, Pinzon’s charges were upgraded from Manslaughter to Murder.
