“When our members turn a hundred, a hundred and one, one hundred we give them their own little party. It just is a celebration of their life. So today all the members from our arts and craft group are here to celebrate with her as well as other friends from the Friday evening devotions. We have part of both of the groups here.”

“How does it feel to have lived so long?”
Isabel Garbutt, Centenarian
“I noh know yoh know ih just come right into me. Ih noh feel like I getting old. I feel good. I say I wonder. My father was ninety-nine. I am the only person in my whole family that live to this age. I can’t believe it and I noh feel it. You know it just rarely the age that let you down you know it’s sickness but it’s really nice to see so many of your friends and family. It makes you feel so new. You feel good, you feel like you get new strength. It gives you courage to say well I must live lee longer.”
Helpage believes that interaction amongst seniors prevents loneliness and promotes the well being of all elders.
