Birthday party ends with death for P.G. woman

A birthday celebration ended tragically in Punta Gorda with a woman dead and her boyfriend detained. Forty-two year old Jorge Pinzon reported to police that around four-thirty Saturday morning he and his girlfriend Soila Ramclam arrived at his house after celebrating her birthday. According to the Venezuelan businessman, he was cleaning his licensed nine-millimetre pistol when it accidentally went off and hit Ramclam, who was sitting in a chair opposite him, in the chest. To make a bad situation worse, Pinzon additionally claims that as he was taking Ramclam for medical assistance his pick-up crashed into a lamppost on Wahima Alley and he had to switch vehicles before taking her to the hospital. The thirty-five year old domestic of Indianville was then taken by ambulance to the Southern Regional Hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival. Ramclam’s body is currently awaiting a post-mortem examination.
