Jaguar Paw manager detained in fatal traffic mishap
Twenty-six year old Jose Garbutt, the manager of the well known Jaguar Paw Resort, has been detained following a fatal traffic accident between Mile thirty and thirty-one on the Western Highway. Garbutt reported to police that close to nine o’clock on Tuesday night, he was in the driver’s seat of his Toyota Land Cruiser heading to Belize City, accompanied by Elmer Garcia and Alfredo Avilez, when he hit a man whose identity is still unknown. When police arrived at the scene, they found the man lying on the right side of the road with injuries to the head and upper body. The wounded male was taken to the Western Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Garbutt is yet to be charged.
