… While another dies in a traffic accident
A woman who had hoped to travel to the United States will not be making that trip after she lost her life this morning as a result of a head on collision involving two Toyota Camrys. The incident occurred around nine a.m. between miles forty-two and forty-three in Cotton Tree Village on the Western Highway. Reports to New Five are that a green Camry travelling from Belmopan to Belize City collided into a cream Camry that was travelling in the opposite direction. As a result, twenty-six year old Leonie Paiz of Orange Walk Town who was a passenger in the back of the green Camry died of severe head and body injuries. It is reported that Leonie Paiz and her family were returning from the U.S. Embassy where they had applied for a Visa. The other Camry was transporting American nationals to the Immigration Office in Belmopan.
