Second suspect charged w/Bermudian Landing double murder
A second suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the double murder in Bermudian Landing two weeks ago. According to court reports, twenty year old Lakeview resident Nelson Henry was formally arraigned on two counts each of Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder in Magistrates’ Court this morning. Police believe the accused was one of two men responsible for the deaths of nineteen year old Karen Crawford and forty-four year old Maurice Banner on May twenty-ninth. Both victims were found with bullet wounds to the head inside the Bermudian Landing home of Banner’s common-law-husband Emmerson Wade. Five days after the double murder, police arrested eighteen year old John Chessman and charged him with the same offences. Both Chessman and Henry have been remanded to Hattieville Prison until July third. While investigators believe the murders are drug related, there is still no clear motive for the killings.
