Robbers fire shots but leave empty handed
The fear of being held-up is one that many business people live with … and on Tuesday it became a reality for an auto parts store on Cemetery Road. Around twelve-thirty in the afternoon, a man walked into Mike’s Spare Parts and asked Assistant Manager Robert Sinclair if they sold Sheltox. The strange request, coupled with the arrival of another man, would soon have Sinclair running for his life.
Robert Sinclair, Assistant Manager, Mike’s Spare Parts
“A next guy, wah next red guy come up with a gun, wah three-eighty, ahn ih point it pan me ahn ih seh run all the money. “Any new security measures you all thinking of implementing? You think it will happen again?”

The robbers escaped empty-handed. At the time of the hold-up, Sinclair’s brother and two other employees were in the store, but none were harmed. The assistant manager says he’s been at Mike’s Spare Parts for four years and this was the first time he experienced a hold-up.
