… While Mahogany Heights thief gets three
It was a bad day for thieves as today yet another burglar was sentenced to three years in prison. Twenty-eight year old Kenny Clark of La Democracia received the bad news after he was found guilty of an October seventh breaking and entering. According to court reports, around seven p.m. on that day, Mahogany Heights resident Anthony Wells responded to a knock at his door only to find it pushed open by two men. The sixty-four year old Wells, a retired British Army Officer, said once inside, one of the men hit him in the forehead, tied him up and stole fifteen DVDs, a military jacket, and his Rayban sunglasses. Wells positively identified Clark as the burglar, although throughout trial the young man maintained his innocence. Clark was additionally charged with Wounding, but it was dismissed when a medico-legal form was not entered as evidence. Police never caught up with Clark’s accomplice.
