No arrests yet in latest San Ignacio homicide

A salesman from San Ignacio Town was stabbed to death early Sunday morning in that municipality. Thirty-six year old Ali Orlando Flores was found with thirteen stab wounds to his chest and a cut wound across his throat just one house away from his mother’s residence on Eighth Street. News Five has learned that Flores was last seen after midnight leaving SanKar Restaurant, which is about four blocks away from his mother’s house. A relative of the deceased told us that he was socialising with friends at the establishment and that there was no conflict there but two suspicious-looking men were seen following him as he walked home. Though police have not yet released a motive for the killing, when Flores was found, his empty wallet was reportedly lying nearby and in his hand was a head tie believed to belong to one of the men with whom he struggled before he died. Flores leaves behind a wife and four children.
