Corozal villagers busted with four pounds of crack cocaine …
Many motorists are simply waved through a police checkpoint but on Thursday there was something about the three men and a woman travelling in an Isuzu Trooper that made officers stop and take a second look. And it was a good thing they did. According to police, inside the vehicle they found one point nine kilos or just over four pounds of crack cocaine concealed in a bag in the backseat. As a result of the find, the four occupants in the vehicle, seventy-eight year old Abraham Che, his son thirty-eight year old Wadencio Che, daughter in law Mirella Che and forty year old businessman Ines Flores were arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking. The accused, are all villagers from the Corozal District. They appeared before Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie today who ordered them remanded to prison until May sixteenth.
