Cotton Tree villager charged for young mother’s murder
In late February we reported the vicious murder of twenty-two year old Mirna Sanabria, who was shot and killed while clutching her seven month old baby. But exactly two months after her death, authorities have arrested and charged one of the men they believe were involved in the homicide. Twenty year old Cotton Tree villager Nelson Gibson has been arrested and charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Wounding. Around nine on February twenty-seventh, Sanabria was at her family’s store in Cotton Tree Village when three armed masked men held them up. The assailants stole cash, jewellery and other valuables but before leaving fired a fatal shot which struck Mirna in her neck. The young woman, still holding her baby in her arms, fell to the ground and died a short time later. Investigators tell News Five they are now actively seeking Gibson’s alleged accomplices.
