Three injured in W. Hwy. accident
A family of four escaped serious injury or death this evening when this four-door Mazda flipped several times on the Western Highway. Driver of the vehicle, twenty-seven year old Leon Usher, an employee of Advance Advertising and resident of Gibnut Street in Belize City, was heading from Belmopan towards the old capital when at mile twenty-six he lost control of the car. The vehicle ran off the road and overturned before landing in bushes on the side of the highway. Usher’s common-law wife, Rosalia Cal, their three year old daughter, Lea, and Usher’s mother, Allison Usher, are all receiving treatment at the K.H.M.H. for injuries not classified as life-threatening. Leon Usher escaped the wreck unscathed.
