O.W. fugitive caught, charged with Kidnapping

Story PictureHe’s been on the run for two months but tonight an Orange Walk man wanted for kidnapping is behind bars. According to Orange Walk police, on Sunday officers on patrol spotted Alfredo Urbina in town and immediately detained him. Urbina is wanted for the kidnapping of Alden Hall, a man still missing and who is now presumed dead. On February thirteenth Jose Ricalde and Nazim Romero were shot dead and Noe Perez was injured at Urbina’s Royal Palm Street home. Urbina wasn’t present at the time but police believe that shooting was in retaliation for the disappearance of Hall, who was last seen in a car being driven by Urbina on the Northern Highway the day before the shooting. It is suspected the events are drug related as sources tell News Five Hall’s disappearance involved possession of narcotics which reportedly belonged to Urbina. Urbina is scheduled to appear before a Magistrate Tuesday. Meanwhile, investigators continue to look for one of Urbina’s associates, Ronaldo Marchand, who owns the car in which Hall was last seen alive.
