Cops see the light after beating innocent youth with flashlight

Story PictureThe cops sent Grant behind bars, but an eighteen year old youth claims he was wounded in the head by police. According to the family of Demas (Dee-mas) Mendez, the young man was wounded when police ambushed him in the Lake Independence Area in a case of mistaken identity. Mendez ended up with eleven stitches last Friday at around ten o’clock when he was riding home after he had purchased food. Three police officers on motorcycles chased him down and without asking questions, hit him in the head several times with a silver flashlight. He landed on the ground and was kicked multiple times. After they realized that he was not the person they were looking for, he was taken to the K.H.M.H. and left. Today, Mendez and his mother, Gloria Soriano, came to our studios to report the incident.
