O.W. cops deal with two sexual assaults
Orange Walk police have two cases of sexual assault on their hands. In the first case, the twenty-five year old victim said she awoke around two-thirty on Saturday morning to find a man in front of her bed. The woman reported to police that the man muffled her screams for help with a blanket then forced her at knifepoint to the kitchen, where he had sexual intercourse with her against her will. After he had left, the woman said she realised that he had also taken her cellular phone, cash and personal belongings worth around three hundred and fifty dollars. Police do not yet have any suspects in this case. In the other incident, also in Orange Walk, a twelve year old girl was attacked in her home by a man she recognised. The child told police that she was awakened around nine-thirty Saturday night by the man who was fondling her and trying to loose her zipper. But when she began to scream for help, her attacker stormed out of the house, leaving behind one of his slippers. Police investigations have led them to nineteen year old Emmanuel Pech of Guinea Grass Village. He’s charged with Attempted Rape and Indecent Assault.
