Cops arrested for beating of “Possum”
Last Friday we reported of the clever scheme one prisoner carried out for what turned out to be a brief moment of freedom. Kevin Dawson, also known as Possum, was caught last Thursday in Corozal after he swapped identities with another prisoner to trick the court into thinking he was someone else. But while in police custody after his capture, Dawson reported that he had been beaten by two officers. Today A.C.P. Allen Whylie said those cops are already being dealt with.

“Just this afternoon after I consulted with the Commissioner it was directed and those two officers are in the process of being arrested if they’ve not and they will be interdicted from duty.”

“Can you name them?”
A.C.P. Allen Whylie
“Those officers are Special Constable Myvette and P.C. Casey. That of course, will not stop us from also doing disciplinary charges of Prejudice as well as Unwarrantable force to a prisoner in custody.”
Both Myvette and Casey will be charged with wounding.
