Farmer charged for murder of Guatemalan National
Last week we reported on the murder of Guatemalan national Pedro Coc Pop of the western village of El Progresso. Police believe they that are close to solving the murder and have charged twenty-eight year old Zacarias Tesecum, a farmer of the same village located at mile seven on the Mountain Pine Ridge Road. Pop, who has been living in El Progresso for the past eighteen years, was brutally chopped to the head, right arm and back and left to die on the road side in a pool of blood. The incident occurred around seven last Thursday night. Pop, Tesecum and a third person are known to have been involved in an altercation before the murder.
