P.U.P. reaction? No reaction at all
In the wake of Barrow’s damning revelations the obvious question is: what’s the other side of the story? Apparently, there is none as the three participants in the affair have chosen to fight the accusations with silence. And if the words of the P.U.P. Secretary General are any indication, the party hierarchy remains in a state of serious denial.
Henry Charles Usher, P.U.P. Secretary General
“I believe the party leader put out a statement, a pre-recorded statement on television and that is the reaction that is coming from him. I wasn’t involved in the negotiations so I can’t comment on the negotiations. This Government is intending to carry out its witch-hunt as it always does when it is in power so I think that is the way it will go for right now and we’ll see what the results are. But I can’t comment on something I know nothing about.”
Janelle Chanona
“Did you have any…the U.D.P. is also accusing the former Government of using another ten million U.S. from Taiwan that nobody knew anything about.”
Henry Charles Usher
“No, you are giving me news now. I didn’t hear anything like that. I guess I’ll learn that later today right?”
