“Poor and Famous” hold kite contest
Roughly seventy-five students from the Collet constituency capitalized on Sunday’s strong winds by participating in a kite flying contest. The event was organised by the Poor and Famous Culture Club and while the sponsors provided the kites, the children also received paper and materials to build their own. Kirk and Corey Howard built the largest moon kite, thirteen year old Anvo Tucker had the most creative while Fredrick Williams sent his kite the furthest. The top three winners were awarded trophies sponsored by INDECO. According to Poor and Famous, their next planned activity is a basketball camp scheduled for Easter Monday at the Belize City Centre. If you would like to register, please contact the organisers at 607-5184.
