Family of missing teen to launch search party on Saturday
Sixteen days after their loved one went missing, tonight a Belize City family is once again appealing to the public for information. According to the family of seventeen year old Anthony Roches, their reward of a thousand dollars stands even though they believe he is dead and his body has been hidden somewhere off the Western Highway.
Joseph Nunez, Arthur’s Brother
“I hear numerous reports that the same bunch ah guys weh my lee brother gone with pan this robbery supposed to kill this man. Supposed to stab up this man, cut this man throat and bury this man pan di road but we noh know weh part. Dah noh like the police noh know who dah the key players inna this thing yah, we done tell them dah who and what happen. We done tell them exactly dah who this man mi deh with. But I noh know weh di go on with them. To me, it look like the police di wait fi we retaliate, which in we noh wah do that… we noh wah fight fire with fire. The good book seh “to err is human, to forgive is divine” so we noh plan fi goh step back from nobody. All weh I need dah fi mek the policeman them fi try work up pan this thing and find my lee bredda body fi me because we know fi wah fact this man done dead. We done know that already.”
“And basically tomorrow morning, with or without the help of the police, I di organise wah search party. We will comb out eight miles, ten miles and mile thirty-one tomorrow morning. So if anybody want join inna the search, they could just give me a call and then we could deal with that.”

“How can they get in touch with you?”
Joseph Nunez
“My number da 624-0754 or else unnu call da mi old lady da house 202-0300. Once you willing to assist then it’s all good. right Now the only thing we di worry bout dah fi find this man. We done know that this man done dead, maybe done decomposed and all ah that. We just want give this man wah proper burial. This man dah noh no animal, this man dah noh no dog.”
Again, the family’s contact numbers are 624-0754 and 202-0300. Investigators deny the family’s accusations that they’re dragging their feet on the case, saying they have followed all leads and questioned a number of persons in relation to Arthur’s disappearance but have nonetheless come up empty handed.
