… While Press Secretary tells media to remain vigilant
And in what promises to be another regular feature of Belizean media life, the Prime Minister’s press secretary, Delroy Cuthkelvin, held the first of what he assured will be many press briefings. Although nothing of particular note was revealed today, Cuthkelvin did call on the press to be vigilant and help keep the government honest. Among the subjects touched on at this afternoon’s meeting, was the issue of road improvements in the north, which should commence in June, following a transparent tendering process. Regarding allegations of equipment sold on the cheap by the Ministry of Works in the run up to elections, C.E.O. Cadet Henderson is preparing a report. Cuthkelvin also acknowledged that the sale of late model vehicles to former government employees has left many industries short of transport.
