Aurelio Martinez is in Belize as part of his Laru Beya world tour and tonight is the first of two concerts at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts. The Honduran born artist is following closely in the footsteps of his mentor and has dedicated his latest album to the late Andy Palacio. The tour will take him around the world and just as Andy did, Aurelio continues to promote Garifuna music internationally. For the next two nights Belizeans can enjoy the beats and the rhythm of the Garifuna drums. But before he hits the stage at the Bliss, Aurelio was a guest on this morning’s Open Your Eyes and he gave us a preview of what’s in store for his audience.
