Suspect charged in Wednesday murder

This morning twenty-three year old Lincoln Sabido appeared in Belize City Magistrates’ Court to face charges of murder. The Berry Street resident was one of five men detained after the shooting death of thirty year old Norman Reyes. In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, Reyes was in his Flamboyant Street apartment when a gunman shot him in the neck. He died shortly after at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Police in Orange Walk are similarly patting themselves on the back after arresting two teens for a Saturday night hold-up. Nineteen year old Lydon Heredia and seventeen year old Alden Hall, both of Orange Walk were today jointly charged for the crime of robbery. The arrests come as the result of a report made by businessman Mykesh Punjabi, who told police that he was in his store when two men walked in, put a gun in his head and relieved him of three thousand dollars in cash, goods and personal effects.
